Foreign Students’ Fest: “Galaxy of Talents”

Another event “Galaxy of talents” which at the same time was a Closing Ceremony of the Foreign Students’ Festival took place on March 12, 2013. The results of the Festival were drawn up and the winners got their prizes while the audience had a unique opportunity to once again become witnesses of the brightest and most memorable numbers of the Festival.

It is worthwhile noting that this year all the programme numbers were performed hors concours, however the organizers managed to preserve a competitive atmosphere by holding a contest of students’ performances at their own request. The audience watched 3 performances which cheered up each and every person. All the teams were given diplomas: the united team of Dormitories #1 and 2 “Turkmenchiki” became the best team in the nomination “The surprise team”, “Pushkin Turkmen” from Dormitory #4 were the best in the nomination “The team of tomorrow”, while “Smirnov Turkmen” from Dormitory #3 won in the nomination “The breathtaking team”.

The Rector of the University Mechyslau E. Chasnouski awarded the best University students with letters of gratitude which came as a pleasant surprise during the Closing Ceremony of the Festival; the following students were among them: Eldar Ramazanov and Arzygul Shirliyeva (Faculty of Law), Gochhanov Artykmyrat (Faculty of Philology), Aziza Aknazarova (Faculty of Foreign Languages). Elman Jumanyazov (Faculty of Law) was awarded a diploma. Moreover, the Rector announced that letters of gratitude were sent to the parents of a number of best foreign students just before the beginning of the event.

When all the awards had been presented the students got an opportunity to demonstrate all their talents and another bright creative star appeared on the University sky. Songs in the Russian, Belarusian, Turkmen, Chinese and even Korean languages were performed on the stage and lively national dances left no one indifferent as well! The song “Katyusha” became a final chord of the event; according to the well-established tradition it was sang by both artists and guests present.

The Festival is over but hopefully it will be held again next year since such an event enhances friendship among students from different countries without any doubt.
