The Moon Festival was celebrated at the Confucius Institute

On October 6, the Confucius Institute hosted the mid-autumn festival "Under the Common Moon: the Hearts of China and Belarus together." The Moon Festival, as it is called in China, is one of the most important traditional holidays, which is a symbol of family unity, harmony, beauty and perfection.

The participants of the festive concert were warmly welcomed by the rector of the University, Yury Petrovich Holubeu, and the co-directors of the Confucius Institute from the Chinese and Belarusian sides, Fang Shengliang and Angela Evgenievna Saidi.

Through an introduction to the history of the holiday, creative performances and workshops on traditional Chinese arts, participants were able to enjoy the charm of Chinese culture and showcase their talents. Two competitions were held within the framework of the festival – the drawing contest "We draw China with a brush, we express beauty with paints" and the photo contest "My Confucius Institute – my history". The results of the competition were summed up in a solemn atmosphere. Vice-rectors of the University Petr Egorovich Rezkin, Maxim Albertovich Bogdasarov and Elena Alekseevna Burik presented diplomas and souvenirs to the winners of both competitions.

The Confucius Institute wishes all staff and students of the university, students of Chinese language courses, family happiness, warmth, well-being, inspiration and confidence in the future.
