In the friendship of the peoples our unity!

This year a real winter came to our country with severe frosts, blizzards and wind. But the students of our university did not feel the cold of nature, because immediately after the vacations they plunged into the warm atmosphere of the Festival of foreign students "In the friendship of the peoples our unity!" The festival of peace and harmony started on February 15.

Welcoming speech was made by Tatiana Sokolova (Vice-Rector for educational work). She noted that the Festival is a good tradition of our university and a good opportunity for foreign and Belarusian students to show their intellectual and creative abilities by participating in seminars, presentations, quizzes, virtual journeys, business games, cooking battles, concerts and sports duels. She said that the Belarusian and foreign students of our university are very friendly and try to do everything together: study, do science, use their free time in sport and creativity. Tatiana Vasilyevna wished the Festival long life and prosperity, and good luck and success to all participants of the festival events.

The university students prepared creative gifts for opening of the Festival of foreign students: energetic playing of Batyr Garyagdyev the accordion, oriental dance of Latif Rayberdiyev and modern song by Arslan Taymazov set the tone for numerous events, which will be held within the festival according to measures of social distance. The song "This is Belarus" performed by Valeria Pudovkina added Belarusian flavor to the concert program. The musical composition "Holidays" by Vladislav Makarevich and Anna Krivetskaya was a bright final chord.

Representatives of different nations, studying at our university, showed that they are united in the desire to create, to charge positive people around them and inspire them.

The festival will end with a gala concert on February 25 in the university hall, where the awards ceremony for competition winners will take place.
