The first Belarusian-Chinese youth forum for the mutual study of civilizations was held in BrSU
Last working week ended with a landmark event for BrSU and the Confucius Institute – the first Belarusian-Chinese youth forum for the mutual study of civilizations was held. It was launched by the co-directors of the Confucius Institute, Fang Shengliang and Angela Evgenievna Saidi.
Despite the fact that this forum is a completely new event, about one hundred applications were submitted for participation in it. It brought together students of BrSU and MSLU, students of the Confucius Institute, colleagues from Mogilev, Baranovichi, Ivatsevich, Zhabinka, Chinese students and undergraduates who study in Belarus. Fang Shengliang is the initiator of the event aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation and popularizing the cultures of both countries. The Forum has become a form of supporting the interest of young people in culture, traditions and language. Nineteen people made presentations. They talked about the ethnic location of China, the importance of Belarusian-Chinese cooperation, Belarus tourism, China's heritage, esports, and intercultural communication. Other topics were also discussed. The languages of the forum are Russian, Chinese and English. The tea ceremony brought a note of beauty to the business atmosphere.
The first Belarusian-Chinese youth Forum for the mutual study of civilizations showed that Belarusian-Chinese cooperation is constantly developing, transforming and gaining new vectors of cooperation. Communication between the youth of the Blue-eyed and the Middle Kingdom promotes the exchange of experience, establishing contacts and serves as a platform for new ideas and the search for opportunities for their implementation.
