The delegation of the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Republic of Belarus met with fellow citizens – students and graduates of our university

The delegation of the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Republic of Belarus headed by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Belarus Nazarkuly Shakulyev visited to Brest State A.S. Pushkin University. The purpose of the visit is to strengthen bilateral relations and educate fellow citizens among students and graduates of the university.

The Embassy delegation visited BrSU for the first time. The year 2025 is the International Year of Peace and Trust, initiated by Turkmenistan. This event was special for the university staff. The distinguished guests were greeted with bread and salt and folk art.

The first event during the visit was negotiations with the leadership of the BrSU in the field of humanitarian cooperation. Rector Yury Petrovich Holubeu said that it is important to establish close relations with Turkmen partner universities, issues of the stay of Turkmen citizens in our country, and formal issues related to the invitation and stay of foreign citizens were discussed.

At a meeting with students and graduates, Yury Holubeu presented the university and spoke about the opportunities and prospects that it opens up to young people. Nazarkuly Shakulyev, communicating with fellow citizens, noted socio-economic transformations and spoke about programs to improve the quality of life of the population. "We have come to share with you the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the acquisition of Permanent Neutrality status, recognized by the UN General Assembly resolution, and to expand opportunities for humanitarian cooperation. Unfortunately, few of our students study at this educational institution today. I rate the education provided by Belarusian universities well. The majority of our boys and girls are returning to their homeland," Nazarkuly Shakulyev said. The main message of the Ambassador is not to forget about the traditions of your country and to respect the culture of the state in which you live.

New points of contact were found during the visit. We hope that our international university family will soon be replenished with students from Turkmenistan.
