BrSU students made our university famous in the international translation contest "Science has no borders"

Once again the students of BrSU confirmed the high level of foreign language skills!

This year 547 students from 28 universities of Russia, 5 universities of Belarus, 1 university of Kazakhstan and foreign countries (Italy, Hungary, China, Ecuador, Syria, Colombia, Indonesia) took part in the international online contest for the best translation "Science has no borders", which is organized annually by the federal state budget educational institution of higher education "Russian State Agrarian University – Timiryazev Moscow Agricultural Academy" (Moscow).

The contest was held in two stages. At the first stage (from April 1 to April 25) students translated the contest text of the qualifying round, according to the results of which only the winners (in three foreign languages – English, German and French) got to the second stage (online).

The second stage of the contest took place on April 28, 2021, in a distance (online) form. The participants were offered contest texts of two levels of complexity – for students of linguistic and non-linguistic specialties. The competition tasks included a written translation of the text, a creative task of semantic prediction, as well as a "letter-essay" as part of the analysis of a practical situation.

Until May 20, the expert group reviewed the papers and determined the winners in five nominations in three foreign languages. For the objective work of the jury the examination of works was held anonymously.
