VIII International scientific-practical conference “Computational methods, models and educational technology”

On October 18, 2019, the VIII International scientific-practical conference “Computational methods, models and educational technology” was held at Brest State A. S. Pushkin University with support of Epol Soft, OOO, a resident of Belarus Hi-Tech Park.

During the opening of the conference Dean of the Department of Physics and Mathematics, Associate Professor, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Oleg Kotlovsky, noted that scientific research is of great importance for the development of the border regions and wished all participants fruitful work in solving the tasks set.

The plenary meeting was attended by: V. A. Golovko and A. A. Kroschenko (Head of the Department of IIT at Brest State Technical University, Brest, Belarus and Senior Lecturer of the Department of IIT at Brest State Technical University, Brest, Belarus) with a report on “Detection and recognition of product labeling using neural network algorithms”, V. G. Okhrimuk (Director of Urban network systems, OOO, Brest, Belarus) with a report on “Prospects for the development of MAN (Metropolitan area network) data transmission networks on the example of Brest region”, M. A. Motuzko (software engineer of EPAM Systems, IOOO, Brest, Belarus) with a report on “Visualization of data of the environment sensor system and the state of an autonomous vehicle”, O. V. Matysyk (Associate Professor of Brest State A. S. Pushkin University, Brest, Belarus) with a report on “Implementation of the ITA project “Creating a cross-border platform “BIZNESTRANS” to encourage and support cooperation between business and scientific institutions””, A. O. Dyadishchev (Director of SmartexLab, Brest, Belarus) with a report on “Global digitalization and the place of advanced IT technologies in it”, E. I. Kulgun (Senior Lecturer at Brest State A. S. Pushkin University, Brest, Belarus) with a report on “Implementation of the ITA project “Comparative analysis of solving problems of approximation of functions and operators””.

The conference participants continued their work in eight sections, where they discussed more than 150 reports.

The conference was attended by scientists from Minsk, Grodno, Gomel, Brest, Mozyr (Belarus), Kiev, Dnipro and Kamenskoe (Ukraine), Moscow and Smolensk (Russia), Warsaw, Lodz and Biała Podlaska (Poland), Leuven (Belgium). At the end of the conference, the participants expressed their gratitude to the organizers of the scientific event.
