Images of the official heraldic symbols of the university
The emblem is a stylized image of a fragment of the Kholmsky Gate of the legendary Brest Fortress. The lower part of the emblem is associated with the Latin letter ‘U’ – the first letter in the word ‘university’.
The dark red color of the image border is the color code of a long history of the university, which began after the Great Patriotic War, in a period when civilization was faced with the task of returning to the world of spirituality and culture, and knowledge again became a recognized value of the epoch.
In the center of a Kholmsky Gate fragment on a yellow background is a stylized green figurine with a red circle on top, symbolizing at the same time youth, and a flowering plant, and an open book.
The flag is a rectangular white cloth with an aspect ratio of 1: 2. White color symbolizes the purity of thoughts and attitudes of the participants in the educational process.
In the center of the obverse of the Flag is the emblem of the university. The emblem is framed by the inscription: above the emblem – ‘Brest State University, under the emblem – ‘named after Pushkin’.
