Training Workshop “Studies and Research in Europe: Opportunities and Prospects”

On November 20–21, 2012 training workshop “Studies and research in Europe: opportunities and prospects”, organized by the Department of the German language with methods of teaching (Faculty of Foreign Languages), Department of International Affairs and Department of information-analytical and innovation activities, was held in Brest State A.S. Pushkin University. Undergraduates and lecturers of the Faculty of Foreign Languages, Faculty of Biology, Faculty of Philology and Faculty of Social Sciences and Pedagogy participated in the Workshop.

The Workshop programme included presentations of scholarship programmes of different international educational foundations. Assistant of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) Viktor Fährmann provided detailed information on DAAD Scholarship programme, application process and answered a number of questions.

Information about the Academic Mobility Programme “Erasmus Mundus” and its opportunities for potential participants such as undergraduates and lecturers of Brest State A.S. Pushkin University was offered by senior specialist of the Department of information-analytical and innovation activities A.A.Khomich.

Head of the Department of the German language with methods of teaching, Candidate of Philology, Associate Professor I.F.Nesteruk told on Scientific Foundation of Landtag of Berlin and its scholarships for undergraduates, alumni and young scientists.

Scholarship holder of the DAAD Master programme, lecturer of the Department of Foreign languages as the second major O.F.Koshkova shared her experience and scientific achievements with the Workshop participants.

Participants of the training workshop were given an opportunity to take onDaF test held by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) in Brest State A.S. Pushkin University. This test determines the level of German language proficiency in accordance with the Common European Framework of Competences. According to the results of the test participants will receive certificates.
