The relevant issues of the German philology and lecturing of the foreign language were discussed in the university
The XVIII research and practice conference on topic “The relevant issues of the German philology and methods of teaching the foreign languages” took place on the 28th of February 2014 on the Faculty of the Foreign Languages. The lecturers of the higher educational establishments of the Republic of Belarus (BSU, MSLU, BSED, BNTU, BSPU named after M.Tank, APA under the aegis of the President of the Republic of Belarus, MC of Republic of Republic, International University MITSO, Francisk Skorina Gomel State University, Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno, VSU named after P.Masherov, Mogilev State A. Kuleshov University, BSAA, BarSU, PolesSU) and Russia (TvSU, UdSU) has taken part in it.
During the plenary sessions the following participants have made the presentations:
Doctor of Philology, Professor L.Lesheva (MSLU) (“What the words tell us”); a candidate of the pedagogical sciences, lecturer L.Silkovich (MSLU) (“Cognitive strategies of foreign professionally oriented reading in the training of the contemporary specialist”), a candidate of the philological sciences, professor O.Sudlenkova (MSLU) (“Photography in modern British literature”).
In addition, the roundtable “Culture-oriented linguistics and sociocultural components in the practice of teaching foreign languages” was held as part of the conference by (Professor V.Satinova, lecturer L.Dmitrachkova), master-class by S.Smidt (DAAD) “The Linguists in business areas of activities and practical examples” and the workshop of the candidate of the pedagogical sciences, lecturer Y.Maslov “The technology of “collidoscopia” in the foreign training of the graduates of the nonlinguistic (military) university” which gives the opportunity for the productive dialogue and the ideas exchange.
Carrying out such conferences provides an opportunity for a constructive dialogue on the relevant issues of linguistics as well as to establish new scientific contacts.
