Meeting with Vladimir G. Belikov
On 27th September 2012 the meeting with the well-known Russian collector of easel graphic works and book graphics, bibliophile, professor, Doctor of Engineering, academician of the Academy of quality problems (Russia); academician and the member of IAP Presidium (USA) Vladimir G. Belikov was held in the Russian cultural and educational center named after A.S.Pushkin founded by Brest State A.S. Pushkin University. The topic of the event “Artist, collector, audience… and a bit about Pushkiniana” attracted attention of lecturers and students of the University, teachers of the Russian language and literature and mass media representatives.
The programme was arranged by the Russian cultural and educational center named after A.S.Pushkin with the assistance of the management of our University jointly with the Russian Cooperation Office in the Republic of Belarus and the Consulate General of the Russian Federation situated in Brest.
The Rector of the University Mechyslau E. Chasnouski, the first pro-rector Anna N. Sender, pro-rector on academic affairs Sergey A. Marzan, Senior Consul of the Consulate General of the Russian Federation in Brest Yuriy V. Bochkaryov, director of Kobrin State Art Vocational School Vasiliy N. Demidovich were the Honoured guests of the event.
The Russian Center of Science and Culture in Minsk was represented by the head of the Russian Cooperation Office in the Republic of Belarus, counselor of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Belarus Viktor A. Malashenko and the head of the department of the Office Svetlana N. Kovalyova.
The meeting was interspersed with the demonstration of the exhibitions based on the V.Belikov’s materials: “Monuments of the Russian Architecture” (timed to the 1150th anniversary of the Russian statehood formation) and “Search of an image or Why Pushkin doesn’t smile…”
During the meeting the representatives of the Russian Cooperation Office presented V.G.Belikov and M.E.Chasnouski with souvenirs. The collector donated to the Russian cultural and educational center 4 catalogues of his exhibitions of graphics of ХIХ–ХХ centuries dedicated to A.S.Pushkin.
