Conference "Penal Justice: Legislation, Theory and Practice"

On October 26, 2012 the 3d Republican research and practice conference of lecturers, PhD students, Master students and undergraduates "Penal justice: legislation, theory and practice" took place at Brest State A.S. Pushkin University. The event which has already become traditional was organized by the Department of criminal disciplines.

At the plenary meeting the following reports were presented: "The participation of community in criminal investigations" by E.V.Solovey; "Judicial pleadings as a means of eliciting the objective truth during the legal proceedings" by V.I. Rovneyko; "Smartwater" as a modern forensic means of protection objects from criminal encroachments" by O.M.Lonchuk; "Specialized courts in the Republic of Belarus: establishment tendencies and perspectives" by A.N.Kukel and M.V.Moyseychuk;  "The problem of determining acts of the usage of the Identification Documents belonging to another person" by E.I.Vyshinskaya and "Characteristics of the personality of a minor as a fact to be proved in a criminal case" by I.G.Kubay.

Besides the reports, the work in 4 sections was organized: penal law; criminology; criminal procedure, forensic science, operational investigations; law clinic and juvenile delinquency prevention.

At the conference about 100 reports were presented by the lecturers, Master students and undergraduates of the Academy of Public Administration under the aegis of the President of the Republic of Belarus, Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno, Mogilev State A.Kuleshov University, Baranovich State University as well as by the cadets of the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Belarus.

The students who are the members of the student research laboratory under the Department of criminal disciplines took active part in the conference.
