Champions share experience

«No one is left unconcerned today», said the Rector Chesnovskiy M.E., expressing common opinion of the University students about meeting which was held on the 5th day of September , 2013 with sportsmen of Brest region. Lesson of the champions was held in a form of dialogue between sport heroes and numerous admirers of their talent and diligence.

Our guests were as follows: Olympic Champion in race for 100 meters Nesterenko Yulia (Athens, 2004), Ostashko Olga (sprint), a participant of the Olympic Games in Beijing (2008) and in London (2012), Kunda Maksim (archery), a participant of the Olympic Games in Beijing (2008), Plotnitskiy Dmitriy (triple jump), a participant of the Olympic Games in Beijing (2008) and in London (2012), Bratchenya Victor who has been a Champion of Europe in arm wrestling for 11 times, Gerasimenko Ekaterina (canadian pairs), a prize winner of the Europe Championship among young  people (2012), Zinchiuk Anna, a Champion of the Europe among juniors in hammer throw.

The University was also visited by Nikolaychiuk E.V., the Head of the Administration  of Physical Training and Sport of Brest region Executive Committee as well as by Gusleva M.N., a representative of National Olympic Committee in Brest region.

Gurina E.I., a senior teacher of the Physical training Department, told about the prospective of the sport development in the region and Olympic traditions of Brest region. Gusleva M.N. informed all the present about the NOC events in Brest region, the main target of which is spreading the ideas of healthy life style and popularization of physical training.

Questioning the guests was the most interesting part of the meeting. Plotnitskiy Dmitriy shared his secrets of combining the training process with learning activities, Bratchenya Victor told that his first coach was his brother, Julia Nesterenko made us feel the most exciting moments in the Belarusian sport which were her feelings after crossing the finish line in the final heat for 100 meters in Athens. Considering the question about consuming dopes, a senior teacher of Track and Field, Swimming and Skiing Department Nosov A.A. emphasized the necessity of following the principals of Fair play.

In the final part of the animated conversation Nesterenko Julia thanked teachers and coaches of the University for contributing to her and other sportsmen professional career and growth. She wished the students success in study and strong results in sport.
