Strengthening the relationship between Belarus and China

On May 23 the delegation of the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China led by Vice Minister Tian Xuejun visited Brest State A.S. Pushkin University. As usual, the guests of honor were greeted with bread and salt and Belarusian folk song, symbolizing the establishment and strengthening of friendly and trusting relations.

At the meeting with students, Vice Minister of education of China Tian Xuejun said that he was glad to see students, because they are our future. He expressed confidence that young people are the driving force of prosperity of both countries.

According to the respectable guests, the students of both countries should closely communicate, share experience and move forward with confidence to strengthen the relations between Belarus and China. “In the Year of Education in China, one of the main tasks is to continue the fruitful development of relations between our countries,” admitted Tian Xuejun.

At Brest State A.S. Pushkin University the delegation visited the Center for studying China and the exhibition “With love to China”. At the end of the day, the Agreement on establishment of the Institute of Confucius was signed by the rector of the Educational Institution “Brest State A.S. Pushkin University” Anna Sender, the Deputy Director of the Headquarters of the Confucius Institutes “Hanban” Zhao Guocheng and the rector of the Anhui University Kuang Guangli.

Visits of Chinese delegations to Belarus contribute to closer cooperation in the field of education of both countries. BrSU is also contributing to the strengthening of these relationships. We are able to successfully develop the Eastern vector of cooperation.
