Interfaculty competition of wall newspapers on the problems of modern economy

During November 21-29, 2016 the annual interfaculty competition of the wall newspapers on the problems of modern economy had been held at Brest State A.S. Pushkin University. The event was organized by the Department of Theoretical and Applied Economics. The event was attended by the students of the Geographical, Law, Physic-mathematical, Psycho-pedagogical Faculties, as well as by the Foreign Languages Department.

The main aim of the competition was to contribute to the formation of economic culture of the students and stimulate their creativity. That event enhanced and deepened socio-economic knowledge of the students helping them to foster active citizenship.

The student works were evaluated by the jury according to the following criteria: originality of the design of the wall newspapers, literacy of the texts, conciseness and adequacy of the content and titles, the ability of the authors to analyze and systematize information, the completeness of reflection and awareness of the essence of the authors’ problems covered in their wall newspapers.

The jury determined the following winners:

  • I Place was taken by the 3rd year students of the Foreign Languages Department, specialization "Contemporary Foreign Languages"
  • II Place2nd year students of the Faculty of Geography, specialization "Tourism and Hospitality"
  • III Place2nd year students of the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics, specialization "Economic Cybernetics".
