One planet – one family

The 9th Art Festival of Foreign Students was held from 25 February to 1 March under the motto “One planet – one family”. Traditionally, the most striking event of the festival was a gala concert at Culture Palace of Trade Union.

It becomes a tradition to perform a song “Mi edinoe tseloe (We are unity)”. Students of different nationalities and different skin colour with great variety of interests and preferences study, create, perform under the same roof. It was a key thought in Anna Sender’s welcoming speech: “It’s a great pleasure to see that students of different nationalities interact with each other. Belarusian students teach Russian to the foreign student and help them with adaption to everyday life. Foreign students introduce their culture to our students.” Presentation, which reflected the most remarkable moments of the festival, proved that the week of the festival was full of emotions.

The most excited and pleasant stage of the celebration was awarding ceremony of the winners of numerous Olympiads and competitions, and  giving recognition letters to the most active participants of the festival. Elena Mirskaya, who provided recognition letters to the parents admitted: “We send love to you and your parents. Literally, we are a huge, united family!

Afterwards the concert program took place: students of our university impressed the audience with skills in dancing and singing, showed their ability of poem declamations. The festival ended with performance of the song “Khorovod (round dance)”.

This festival has already entered into the life of our students. Memories of this event will undoubtedly remain forever in the hearts of its participants.
