“Friendship Camp”

On June 14-18, 2019 on the basis of Brest State A. S. Pushkin University was held “Friendship Camp” for foreign students, which gathered in our walls undergraduates and postgraduates from China.

On the eve of the Millennium of Brest, the camp participants got acquainted with the regional center as a town with a rich historical heritage, interesting traditions and customs. They were most impressed by the Memorial Complex ‘Brest Hero-Fortress’. A sightseeing tour of Brest State A. S. Pushkin University was organized for undergraduates and postgraduates. They visited museums of biology, ethnography, history of physical culture and sport in Brest region, a winter garden, a perpetual florescence garden and the Centre for the Study of China.

Participants were very impressed by meeting with Viktor Yaroshevich, the coach of Yulia Nesterenko, the Olympic champion in athletics. Together with the athlete, the students discussed the main multi-sport event of the year – the 2^nd European games 2019. The technology used by the candidate of pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of sports disciplines and methods of their teaching Igor Mikhuta in working with national teams of the Republic of Belarus aroused great interest among the guests from China.

And sports battles in 3x3 basketball, mini-football and a quest for team building made staying of students in the “Friendship Camp” not only useful, but also fun.
